1st Grant Funding For Hugs!

Hugs are incredibly excited and thankful to have been awarded our first grant from Cornwall Rural Community Charity, Together For Families. We have been granted funding that will be used as bursaries for 12 families to have a course of 8 x 2 hour sessions of our mental health and well-being interventions.

The sessions are designed to tackle a range of problems including:

  • Relationship breakdowns
  • Parent and children involved in crime and antisocial behavior
  • Children who have not been attending school regularly
  • Families affected by domestic violence and abuse
  • Parents and children with ranges of physical and mental health problems

Eligible families must be facing two of the above and in addition, be unable to receive alternative funding to attend sessions (e.g. through Cornwall Council) and/or are on low income (e.g. funded school lunches).

If you know anyone who would benefit from these bursaries, please contact the Youth Services team on 07948404986 or email dawn@hugsfoundation.org.uk
